LG Washer Troubleshooting and Problems
Step 1
Adjust your clothes. If your LG washer is rattling or vibrating excessively it could be due to an unbalanced load of laundry in the washer. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes so the weight is even on all sides of the washer.
Step 2
Check the drum and drain filter for foreign objects. If your washer is clanking like something is broken, check to make sure there are no loose objects rattling around in the drum or drain. Coins, paperclips and other items left in the pockets of clothes will occasionally come out and rattle around in the washer.
Step 3
Adjust the leveling feet at the base of your LG washer. All four of the leveling feet at the base of the washer should be flat on the ground. If they are uneven, the washer will vibrate excessively.
Step 4
Check your hoses. Make sure your hoses are tight and have no holes or kinks to ensure water flows in and out of the washer properly. Make sure the drain hose isn’t clogged and the drain filter doesn’t need to be replaced.
Step 5
Check the power. Make sure the power cord is properly attached to the washer and plugged into a working outlet. Make sure the door to the washer is securely closed, or your LG washer will not spin, even with power.
